Emma Duchini

Welcome to my website!

I am an associate professor at the University of St Andrews, Business School. Previously, I had the pleasure to work as an assistant professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Essex, and as a Research Fellow at the University of Warwick. I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra. 

I am an applied labor economist with a special interest in personnel economics, the economics of education, and gender. My research studies topics such as pay transparency, firms’ hiring practices, gender inequality, and the impact of educational and labor market institutions on children’s short- and long-term outcomes.
